CPA
Cost Per Action - a pricing model where advertisers pay for each specified action (signup, purchase, install) completed by a user.
CPL
Cost Per Lead - payment model where advertiser pays for each qualified lead submitted (usually a form fill or signup).
CPS
Cost Per Sale - payment model where affiliate earns a percentage or fixed amount for each resulting sale.
RevShare
Revenue Share - affiliate receives a percentage of the customer's lifetime value or ongoing revenue.
CTR
Click-Through Rate - percentage of people who click on an ad after seeing it. Calculated as clicks/impressions × 100.
CR
Conversion Rate - percentage of visitors who complete a desired action. Higher CR means better campaign performance.
EPC
Earnings Per Click - average earnings generated per click. Key metric for evaluating offer profitability.
Postback
Server-to-server callback sent when a conversion occurs. Used for accurate tracking without pixel dependence.
Cloaking
Technique showing different content to users and ad platform reviewers. Use with caution - can violate TOS.
Offer
A specific deal or promotion from an advertiser that affiliates promote for commission. Contains terms, payout, and creative assets.
Vertical
The category or industry of an offer. Common verticals include Dating, Gaming, e-Commerce, Finance, and Nutra.
GEO
Geographic region or country targeting. Tier-1 (US, UK, CA), Tier-2, and Tier-3 classifications indicate market quality.
Arb / Arbitrage
Buying traffic cheap from one source and earning higher payouts for conversions on another. Core concept of affiliate marketing.
Tracker
Software (like Keitaro or Binom) that tracks clicks, conversions, and campaign performance across multiple networks.
Landers
Landing pages - web pages that users see after clicking an ad. Optimized for conversion before redirecting to offer.
Pre-landers
Pre-landing pages shown before the main landing page. Used for additional filtering or warming up visitors.
Smartlink
Dynamic link that automatically redirects users to the best-converting offer based on their device, GEO, and other factors.
KPI
Key Performance Indicator - metrics used to evaluate campaign success such as ROI, ROAS, profit margin.
ROI
Return on Investment - percentage profit relative to money spent. Formula: (Revenue - Cost) / Cost × 100.
ROAS
Return on Ad Spend - revenue generated per dollar spent on advertising. Higher ROAS indicates more efficient spending.
